Join us for the inaugural season of Academy Sports' Development Basketball League! It's indoor basketball with the beginner in mind. Rules are enhanced for free flowing, yet low impact play for a fun and safe game environment that's perfect for both boys and girls. An emphasis on conditioning, body awareness, and hand-eye coordination make this the ideal complement to any physical education program.
The action begins in January and is open to 1st thru 3rd grade boys and girls.
General info:
- The league will play on Saturdays for ten weeks starting January 7th thru March 17th.
- This is a co-ed league for 1st through 3rd graders.
- Games played at Imago Dei Community on SE 13th & Ankeny
League Details:
- 4 vs 4 (Each team will have four players playing at a time)
- Rosters will be small, with 6 to 8 players per team to maximize playing time.
- Full court with smaller court dimensions (Half court)
- Smaller Basketball (28.5)
- Warm-ups and skill development for 25 Minutes
- Games will be 40 Minutes: (2) 20 minute halves
- Time of committment minimal: 1HR 15MIN per weekend
- Game times will be 1PM, 2:30PM, 4PM
- Each Player will recieve a game t-shirt
- Website will have schedule of games with rosters
- Partial scholarships available (Please call for more information)
